Mythgard Academy Announces Audit Option
Looking for a short course on Tolkien this Summer? Mythgard’s got just the thing for you! For only $90, students who want to participate in this Summer’s Mythgard Academy course, “The Lord of the Rings I: The Road Goes Ever On” can sign up to audit. The course will be taught by Dr. Corey Olsen and will cover The Fellowship of the Ring in detail! Auditing will give you access to all six live class sessions as well as the recordings of each so you can listen on your own schedule.
And for those of you who want to get practice with college writing, Mythgard Academy is also offering the courses with individual writing tutors for just $160. There’s even a Harry Potter course if you want to branch out into new worlds!
The Tolkien course kicks off on July 9 and registration closes in the first week of July so visit Mythgard Academy to learn more and sign up!

Will this class include the other goodies included in the regular session classes. I.e. paper topics, discussion sessions, discussion boards, and office hours?
If the discussion board is active/exists, will auditors have access to it?

These classes will most certainly include access to the paper topics, discussion boards and office hours via the Moodle site – just as it does for current Mythgard and Signum college-level classes. The students who enroll at the $160, writing program level will receive writing tutor interactions that will take the place of the discussion sessions M.A. students attend. Auditors will not attend these sessions but will be able to participate in the discussion boards.

When does registration open for those who wish to audit the “The Lord of the Rings I: The Road Goes Ever On” ? My dissertation director might kill me, but I so need a break from the rhetoric of science! I need to audit this course! I looked to register by couldn’t find a link for this specific course…
